About Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators work by interfering with the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. Following an injection, these muscles relax and smooth out to reduce the appearance of even deep-set creases and lines. Results can last for several months, ensuring that you maintain a fresh, vibrant look.
What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators like Dysport temporarily relax the muscles used to wrinkle the forehead and the area around the eyes to make them fade away. Specifically, neurotoxins paralyze the muscles and smooth wrinkles.
During the treatment, a very fine needle is injected into each specific muscle for a few seconds. There is only the minor discomfort of a tiny pinch.

What areas can be treated?
Dysport can be administered on forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet lines around the eyes, and the “11 lines” between the eyebrows. Other advanced areas are the following:
-
“Bunny lines” on the sides of the nose
-
Nasal flare reduction
-
Corners of the mouth
-
Jawline
-
Eyebrows

How soon will I notice results?
Most patients will begin to see gradual effect within 3-4 days. Patients should wait at least 14 days for the full effects. The treatment of Dysport does not immediately kick in and does not immediately wear off.
Although the effects may last 3 months, it will gradually start to wear off. Patients are recommended to come in before the 3 month mark to avoid the treatment wearing off completely.

How long do neuromodulators last?
Most patients will see their results last about 3 months. Very few patient will experience results that last 1-2 months and some patients will see results lasting much more. It is important to remember that this is a medication that interacts with each patient different. Therefore, the results can vary.
